Terms & Conditions

These Terms of Service (“the Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Carmel Hill - Laois Couples Counselling(“us” or “we”) (“the Agreement”) regarding your use of services available at www.laoiscouplescounselling.ie including any downloadable software program that you are accessing or installing on your device or personal computer and the services available through that software program (“the Service”).

By using any portion of the Service, you are agreeing to be bound by and are becoming a party to these terms. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms, do not use the Service.

I hereby agree to the following:

I will be present and willing to do the work required of me – in sessions and outside of the therapy room.
I will not attend for sessions under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.
I will abide by the contract as signed in the assessment session

I recognise the confidentiality as outlined in the contract and will adhere to same.

I undertake not to record any online sessions that may take place during the course of the work with Laois Couples Counselling.
I represent and warrant that any profile information I submit is true and accurate and that I am 18 years of age or older and am capable and competent to enter into and abide by these Terms.
I have read these Terms in their entirety and fully understand the contents and meaning.

Program Viewing and Transaction Options

All online sessions are facilitated via Zoom. Carmel Hill – Laois Couples Counselling are not responsible for a breakdown in Zoom’s security or technology.

All precautions are taken to ensure that the technology (software & hardware) are as secure as possible for client online sessions.

Payments

Assessment Session are to be paid in full in advance of the session date. These payments are made online with Sumup through the website or via payment link as sent by Carmel.
Counselling sessions in person are to be paid in the office by cash or card.
Online Counselling session are paid for online or via payment link.
All payments are required within 24 hours of the session taking place.
Couples Retreats are paid as follows - €500 upfront to hold the space with the remaining €1000 due a week in advance of the session. This deposit is not refundable.
We are not responsible for any fees, charges, exchange rates or additional charges levied by individual financial institutions or Credit Card companies.
All transactions online will be processed in EURO (€). We cannot accept any other currency for payment.

Bookings

Assessment sessions are booked for up to 90 minutes.

Counselling sessions are booked for up to 60 minutes.

Couples Retreat sessions are booked over 2 days in a weekend.

All bookings through the website will need to be verified by Carmel Hill – Laois Couples Counselling before they are final.

Cancellation Policy

All sessions (assessment sessions / counselling sessions) have a 24 hour cancellation policy applied.

Couples retreat weekends have a 48 hour cancellation period.

If the notice period is not given, the following appointment is charged at €100;

Refund Policy (for Payments)

Refunds are not given for the couples retreat except in exceptional circumstances.

If you are unable to make your assessment session – we will work with you to reschedule.

We reserve the right to cancel any sessions that are booked. In the rare event that this should happen, we will notify you as soon as possible and we will reschedule the appointment.

If a refund is required, it can only be made to the same method of payment as your original payment, and refunds will be made less booking charges.

The applicant also agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the therapy and acknowledges that these rules and regulations may change from time to time.

All applicants must be over 18yrs of age in order to book a session with Laois Couples Counselling.

Furthermore, all applicants release Carmel Hill – Laois Couples Counselling of all liability regarding any loss or damage to personal property.
